Wanting to help out the Sewol rescue mission in some way, the production company for SBS’ Three Days joined in making donations.
It became known that Three Days’ production company, Golden Thumb Pictures donated 30 million won to the Korean Salvation Army on April 21. The company asked for the 30 million won to be used for the rescue operations of the Sewol tragedy.
Speaking with Newsen on April 22, the company rep said, “The donation was meant to be kept quiet. We didn’t think it would be right for our donation to be publicized during such a grave period in our country.”
“But it became known, and since it did, we hope that the donation culture grows bigger,” said Golden Thumb Pictures.
Golden Thumb Pictures’ donation of 30 million won especially stands out. With the Sewol tragedy, Song Seung Hun, Ha Ji Won, Kim Yuna, Ryu Hyun Jin, Joo Sang Wook, On Joo Hwan, Park Jae Min, Jung Il Woo, Kim Bo Sung, Jang Mi In Ae, and many other stars have donated, but it’s rare to see a content production company donate.
Golden Thumb Pictures, which has been approaching the public by creating various dramas, brought warmth with its recent donation.
Meanwhile, Golden Thumb Pictures’ current drama, Three Days broadcasts every Wednesday and Thursday.
